MSP M&A: Intelligent Technical Solutions Acquires Five MSPs


Intelligent Technical Solutions (ITS), backed privately by Tower Arch Capital, acquired Granite Computer Solutions. BrightWire Networks. Ox Power Computing Service. ProTechnical. A Leap Ahead IT was also involved in the acquisitions. Deerpath Capital provided funding for the transactions. Advisors for ITS were Holland & Hart LLP, BDO USA Farrell Advisory, LLP.

ITS acquires five MSPs

ITS, which was established in 2003, is based out of Las Vegas, Nevada. LinkedIn lists the company’s 179 employees. ITS’ areas of expertise include phone systems, managed computer service provider, disaster recovery for businesses, IT consulting, Microsoft SBS installation and maintenance, hardware upgrade, computer virtualization, cloud computing, distributed file collaboration, data recovery, cybersecurity and IT support.

Granite Computer Solutions (GCS) was founded in Tempe, Arizona in 1990. GCS’s areas of expertise include network administration, managed IT services, server repairs and upgrades, backup and disaster recovery, workstation repairs and upgrades, security and virus protection, email, internet connectivity, cloud services, copier, scanner and printer support and consulting.

BrightWire was established in 2005 in Olympia, Washington. The company is home to 13 employees, which are listed on LinkedIn. BrightWire’s areas of expertise include IT Consulting, Managed Services, Network Installation, Computer Repair, Network Security, Help Desk Services, Technology Project Management, and Cloud Services.

Ox Power Computing Service has its headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona.

ProTechnical was established in Reno in 2008. There are 15 employees at the company, which is listed on LinkedIn. ProTechnical’s areas of expertise include Information Technology, Computer repair, and Business-to-Business services.

A Leap Ahead IT was founded in 2005 and is located in Carmichael in California. There are 14 employees at the company, which is listed on LinkedIn. A Leap Ahead’s areas of expertise include information technology services and support.

The acquisitions of Granite, BrightWire, Ox Power, ProTechnical, and A Leap Ahead provide managed IT services in their respective geographies, which will strengthen and expand ITS’s business reach and geographic footprint.
