BASF Forward AM to highlight new Ultrasim 3D Lattice Engine at RAPID + TCT 2023

BASF Forward AM The company will introduce its new software, the Ultrasim 3D Lattice Engine. This program allows users to access a program that is designed to explore and implement different lattice geometry into product design cycles.

The solution powered by HyperganicBASF claims that. offers a wide range of lattice pattern options, each of them having been validated and tested for various application groups. At the RAPID+ TCT Booth #2445 will feature information about new software, materials and parts.

A workshop will be held at the Forward AM stand on Tuesday, May 2. Guests can also try out the software. Florian Fischer, BASF Forward’s Head of Service and Solutions, and Stijn Pridaens (CEO of) will give a talk on booth #4230. Ziggzagg, will be demoing the software.

BASF Forward AM states that the software allows users to access a lattice database. Users can choose the best lattice for their part and enter the information in the software tool. This will create a digital view of its mechanical properties.

After inputting the desired application area, the software finds lattice designs validated for similar use cases, then uses comprehensive modelling to automatically generate lattice parts that fit the user’s design parameters according to the company. Using Hyperganic’s assembly-level voxel engine, the lattice parts are generated and modulated in seconds says the company.

In a release announcing the announcement, BASF Forward AM highlighted the three main benefits that the Ultrasim 3D Lattice Engine offers. The software must be easy to use, work and affordable.

The RAPID+TCT event will take place in Chicago from May 2 – 4, 2023.
